Would you look at that – the next meeting’s right around the corner! STC Berkeley welcomes back Andrew Davis of Synergistech early next month, and we’re excited to host a local viewing party for Silicon Valley members to get together and tune in to the presentation. Come at 6pm to chat and get dinner – the talk is scheduled for 7:15pm.
As a veteran recruiter of technical content developers, Andrew will present his insights on the current job market for tech writing and other services in the Bay Area. Where are the jobs now, and where might they be moving in the next year? How can you stay relevant in your current role, or grow to fit a new one?
About Andrew Davis
Andrew Davis has recruited technical content developers in the SF Bay Area
since 1995. He is a former software industry Technical Writer and has a
reputation for both understanding and championing the role of content development. Andrew enjoys helping those who communicate complex information get ahead by recognizing and refining their value to technology companies. He’s can-
did and connected and, just as importantly, he likes to help tech industry
workers achieve independence from intermediaries.

What’s A Viewing Party, and Why’s It On A Wednesday?
A viewing party is your way of connecting to great educational content
being created all over the Bay – without braving 5:30 traffic. When our
sister chapters in Berkeley, East Bay, and San Francisco host a speaker,
we’ll meet in Santa Clara to broadcast their livestream of the event.
Get together with us, and you can watch and discuss with your fellow
chapter members over a cup of coffee or frosty lemonade.
Want more? Get interactive! Bring your own device (internet-capable
laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and hop onto NorCal STC on Facebook,
and you’ll even be able to ask the speaker your burning questions
Note: Because these chapters have different meeting schedules from STC
Silicon Valley’s, viewing parties may take place on other days of the month.
For instance, Berkeley meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
