Qualifications:
- Senior technical writer experience: Ten years or higher is preferred, depending on areas of core expertise
- Ideal prior focus in documenting Enterprise IT management software applications (e.g. HP OpenView, Tivoli, or similar).
- The following areas of IT knowledge are highly preferred:
- Application development frameworks: Java / J2EE, MSFT ASP.Net, SOA / Web Services
- Infrastructure: servers (IBM/HP/Dell), networking (Cisco/Juniper), storage (Brocade/NetApp), virtualization (VMware/Citrix-Xen)
- Operations: OSes (Unix variants, Windows), system administration & related tools

This position is responsible for designing, creating, and modifying deliverables. Author deliverable design documents, communicate with technical staff, and use the products they document. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze deliverable needs for multiple projects and recommend staffing and schedules
• Create and update planning documents
• Adapt to and implement new procedures, processes, and corporate directives
• Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, such as working on a major release and a service pack
• Mentor other writers
• Monitor, update, and manage PRIME tasks
• Master one or more products or components
• Write technically accurate, grammatically correct information
• Meet project deadlines
• Review, assign, and resolve STAR issues
• Provide feedback on product design, features, and functionality to the project team
• Report project status

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in Technical Writing or English.
• Master’s Degree or global equivalent in Technical Writing or English desired.
• Typically 5 or more years of experience in Technical Information.
• Business travel of approximately 10 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.
